Shape the Future.The Women in Business Leadership Committee is an opportunity for women who are passionate about making an impact in South Salt Lake and want to help shape the future of the Women in Business program.While Women in Business is open to all Chamber members and serves as a welcoming community for connection, learning, and professional growth, the Leadership Committee is a smaller group of dedicated volunteers selected through an application process. Committee members work alongside the Chamber to develop programming, strengthen relationships within our business community, and create meaningful experiences that support and elevate women across South Salt Lake.This is an opportunity to lead from within—to bring your ideas to the table, invest in the success of others, and help build a program that reflects the needs and aspirations of women in our community.What It Means to LeadMembers of the Women in Business Leadership Committee help guide the vision and success of the program by:Leading — helping set the direction for Women in Business programming, sharing ideas, and taking ownership of initiatives.Planning events — collaborating each month to develop luncheon topics, identify speakers, organize mixers, and highlight local businesses.Hosting — opening your business or helping coordinate events in local, women-owned spaces.Building community — welcoming new members, making introductions, fostering connections, and creating an inclusive environment.Serving as ambassadors — representing the South Salt Lake Chamber and Women in Business throughout the community while encouraging participation and engagement.Committee ExpectationsTo serve on the Women in Business Leadership Committee, members agree to:Maintain an active South Salt Lake Chamber membership.Attend at least 60% of monthly Leadership Committee meetings.Attend at least 60% of Women in Business events, including luncheons and networking mixers.Assist with planning or supporting at least one Women in Business program or event each year.Actively contribute ideas, participate in committee discussions, and support the growth of the program.Selection ProcessThe Women in Business Leadership Committee is an application-based volunteer leadership opportunity. Our team is committed to providing compassionate support to the community, and we welcome volunteers eager to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those we serve.We are always looking to add members to our team. Our current positions available are: - Mission Steward: Our Mission Stewards are passionate individuals who dedicate their time, skills, and energy to furthering our cause. These volunteers play a vital role in helping us fulfill our mission and serve grieving families. Mission Stewards are committed, flexible, and driven by the impact they can make, helping to drive change and support for families experiencing pregnancy loss.- Ambassador: Our Ambassadors serve as key community liaisons, extending the impact of Missing Pieces Support Group by engaging with the broader public to promote grief awareness and support services. They are an extension of our Mission Stewards, taking on critical roles in outreach, education, and event facilitation. Ambassadors are passionate advocates, empowered to make a lasting impact on those affected by grief, while expanding the reach of Missing Pieces Support Group’s mission in their communities.- Loss Support Facilitator: Our Loss Support Facilitators play an essential role in guiding and supporting individuals and families through the grieving process. Facilitators provide compassionate, safe spaces for those navigating the complexities of pregnancy loss, pregnancy after loss, or supporting others through their journey. Loss Support Facilitators offer invaluable guidance, creating a safe environment for healing and personal growth, while empowering others to find strength and connection through their journey. With training and support, facilitators will have the tools to confidently lead groups and mentor individuals on their grief journey.

As a distributor, you have the opportunity to be part of this essential mission by ensuring our care packages reach women and families at critical moments, right when they need it most.Who Can Become a Distributor:We partner with hospitals, doctor’s offices, doulas, clinics, birthing centers, pastoral care teams, urgent care facilities, and any other organizations with direct contact with families experiencing pregnancy loss. If you serve individuals and families who are going through pregnancy loss, you can help us deliver essential support in real-time by distributing care packages on-site.Why become a distributor:By becoming a distributor, you’re not just sharing materials — you’re providing hope and comfort. You’re helping ensure that women and families have immediate access to resources that can offer solace, connection, and support during an incredibly difficult time. You’ll also be part of a community that is actively working to reduce the isolation and pain that can come with loss.How does it work?- Commitment: Distributors begin by receiving 5 complimentary care packages to distribute on-site and agree to make them available to individuals experiencing pregnancy loss. We provide clear guidelines to make distribution as simple and efficient as possible.- Visibility: As a distributor, your organization’s logo will be displayed on our website and linked to your services, increasing visibility within the community. A QR code linking to your organization’s page will also be included in each care package.- Sponsorship (Optional but Encouraged): While distributing the initial 5 care packages is impactful, we invite distributors to consider sponsoring care packages afterward. Your sponsorship or other contributions help us uphold the quality of the materials, ensuring that we can continue offering these essential resources to those in need.Complete the interest form to start the process to become a Distributor.
