About
Celebrating its 13th year (2012-2025), RCENJC is a coalition of individuals from all walks of life who have a vision for social and economic justice. Comprised of volunteers who are passionate about civil rights, we stand with all those who are marginalized and with organizations that fight against racism, poverty, exploitation, and oppression. We believe the criminal justice system is flawed and needs to be reformed because poor, people of color, immigrants, and other oppressed groups are disproportionately punished and imprisoned. We focus on consciousness-raising, direct action, legislation, and policy change. The New Jim Crow will end only when the laws and practices that support it are dismantled.

Our mission
We are a movement-based coalition committed to confronting and dismantling the New Jim Crow in all its forms by advancing racial and economic justice through education, advocacy, and collective action. Rooted in solidarity across differences, we reject racism, sexism, homophobia, and all systems of oppression, and we work alongside allied organizations to defend the dignity, rights, and full humanity of those most harmed by structural injustice.

For God and Country, we advocate for veterans, educate our citizens, mentor youth, and promote patriotism, good citizenship, peace and security.

Freedom Ride Rescue
Freedom Ride Rescue brings together individuals who share a love for dogs and a dream to see a no-kill state. Our foster-based network brings in dogs of all ages, sizes and breed mixes. We help to rehabilitate these animals – providing security, love, medical, and behavioral training as needed – until they can be adopted to their “fur-ever” homes.

Our aim is to leverage our combined efforts to inspire actions that bring about the necessary changes to uplift marginalized individuals and communities both within and beyond the workplace. Through engaging discussions centered around human experiences, we aim to foster a platform for valuable networking and personal growth opportunities.
