True Colors Flint Hills
About
True Colors Flint Hills is a nonprofit organization that provides direct services, advocacy, and education in support of queer and trans youth. They are youth-led, providing a platform for middle and high school LGBTQIA+ youth to use their voices and advocate for what they need. The organization operates the True Colors house, which functions as a drop-in community center where youth can participate in a range of activities, access food and snacks, and learn valuable life skills. Youth may visit a gender-affirming clothing closet to 'shop' for clothing items at no cost and have access to a range of hygiene products if needed.
Our mission
True Colors' central goal is to support queer & trans* youth through advocacy, education, and providing direct access to support services. Founded by Jayme Morris-Hardeman in October 2021, True Colors is a nonprofit looking to make a difference in the lives of countless area youth.

Freedom Ride Rescue
Freedom Ride Rescue brings together individuals who share a love for dogs and a dream to see a no-kill state. Our foster-based network brings in dogs of all ages, sizes and breed mixes. We help to rehabilitate these animals – providing security, love, medical, and behavioral training as needed – until they can be adopted to their “fur-ever” homes.
